From within the app (recommended)

The fastest way — open the app and follow these steps:

Open the Remi app
Go to the Profile tab in the bottom menu
Tap the Settings icon in the top right
Under Account, tap Delete Account
Confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialog that appears

Once confirmed, your account and all your data are deleted instantly and permanently. There is no waiting period or recovery window: the action cannot be undone, and even if you change your mind we cannot restore your account. If you want to keep your memories, export your data from Settings before deleting.

By email

If you can't access the app, email us with the following details:

Body:

Information that identifies your account (your Spotify username, Google email, or the email you registered with)
Confirmation of your deletion request

After we verify your identity, we will delete your account and all your data within 30 days at the latest. Once the deletion takes place it is permanent and cannot be undone. We will send you a confirmation email.

Data that will be deleted

✓ Profile information (display name, username, avatar)
✓ All your memories (notes, emotions, locations, dates)
✓ The photos and voice notes you attached to your memories — the files are deleted from the server too
✓ Your friend connections and pending requests
✓ Your comments, likes, and shared memories
✓ Your messages and conversations — both what you wrote and what was sent to you
✓ Moderation copies of your reported messages
✓ Your push notification tokens (for all your devices)
✓ Your notification preferences and block list
✓ Your linked OAuth service tokens (Spotify, Google)

The deletion is irreversible. Everything above is removed from our server; the only exception is the security record below.

Your conversations are deleted for the other person too. When you delete your account, your conversations with the people you've messaged disappear completely — including the messages they sent you. The other person can no longer see that conversation or even their own messages within it. Because you are the one whose account is deleted, this cannot be undone.

Data that is retained

After your account is deleted, only the following remain on our server:

Security audit record: a record of the deletion itself — the type of action, its time, your account's identifier, and your display name at that moment. It does not hold your memories, notes, messages, or media. It is retained indefinitely so that we can detect abuse and show that you requested the deletion.
Server connection logs: IP address and request time — automatically deleted after 30 days.
