Terms of Service

By using the Remi app, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

1. What Remi Is

Remi is a mobile app that lets you keep your memories alongside the music you listen to and share those memories with your friends. The service is free (optional premium features may be added in the future).

2. Account and Age Requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Remi
• Using it in Türkiye may require being 18 (legal capacity)
• An email address or a Google account is all you need to sign up — a Spotify account is not required
• You are responsible for keeping your account secure

3. Content Rules

The content you create on Remi — notes, tags, comments, and the messages you send to your friends — must follow these rules:

• It must not contain hate speech, violence, harassment, or bullying
• It must not infringe the rights of others (copyright, personal rights, privacy)
• It must not be spam or misleading
• It must not promote illegal activity
• It must not contain sexually explicit material

We reserve the right to remove content that breaks these rules without notice and to suspend your account.

4. Messaging and Moderation

Remi lets you send one-on-one messages to users you are mutual friends with. When you use messaging:

• The content rules above apply to your messages too
• You can block a user who bothers you and report an inappropriate message
• When a message is reported to us, a copy of it is kept for review and can be viewed by an administrator for moderation purposes only; every view is logged
• We reserve the right to suspend or close the accounts of users who break the rules

5. Intellectual Property

• The Remi app and brand belong to Birkan Cemil Abacı
• The content you share (notes, etc.) is yours — but you grant us a limited license to use it so we can run the app
• Track information and album covers belong to the respective music services and artists
• The Remi logo, name, or design may not be used without permission

6. Third-Party Services

Remi relies on third-party services for some functions (e.g. Firebase for sending notifications, optional music service integrations). These services have their own terms of service and privacy policies, and outages in them may affect Remi.

7. Service Availability

• We provide Remi "as is" — we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
• We may pause the service from time to time for maintenance or updates
• We may add, change, or remove features at any time

8. Disclaimer of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Remi:

• is not liable for indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages
• is not liable for loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business
• is not liable for the conduct of third-party services (e.g. Firebase, music services)

9. Closing Your Account

You can delete your account whenever you like (Settings → Delete Account or the web page). We, in turn, reserve the right to suspend or close your account if you violate these terms.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes are announced through an in-app notification. If you keep using the app after a change, you are considered to have accepted the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul.
